Elise L’Herault has a pet red-foot tortoise named Leonardo; she also prides herself in her eclectic taste in music. She graduated from Boston University in 2008 with a BFA in painting. She has been working in glass (primarily fused glass) since 2007. Her background in painting gives her a unique approach for teaching flat glass. Her work focuses on bold colors, a variety of line qualities and solid shapes with free association being a predominant theme. She currently teaches Kiln Forming Intro classes, Pocket Vases and Picture Frames, Teen After-school and Camp Intensives, Drawing on Glass, Platemaking 1, Bird Street Youth Entrepreneur Program, and hands on fused glass segments of events and fieldtrips. She hopes to backpack Europe in the summer of 2010 and to teach and learn as much as possible about glass in the meantime!
