Kayla James was born in Gillette, Wyoming. She later moved to Indiana, where she attended Vincennes University. She was a member of the art department there, and received her Associates Degree in Fine Art: Studio in 2005. She then transferred to the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she earned her Bachelor's in Glass.
She is experienced in many glass processes including glassblowing, kiln forming, casting, flameworking, and cold working. She is also a multimedia sculptor who works in wood, ceramics, and metal, just to name a few.
Every artist has their own unique vision and approach to working with glass. As a teacher, Kayla hopes to share her creative vision with her students through a fun, safe environment.
