Leanne Silva graduated from UMass-Dartmouth, Cum Laude with a major in Metalsmithing/Jewelry and has studied with Sue Ellen Fowler and Jesse Kohl at The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass. Ms. Silva has worked extensively as a goldsmith for several years as well as a glass artist. She began working out of a hot shop, doing furnace work and then moved to lampworking (torch) where the size of the glass could be combined into her jewelry. Leanne's work has been sold internationally and she owns and operates a studio/gallery (Studio La Sil) on Commercial Street in Provincetown, MA. There, in the front window, you can observe her working at her torch, fabricating and designing jewelry from a rough form to a polished piece of wearable art.
