Drawing with Glass: Pen and Ink Effects on Glass

Using glass powders and frits as a drawing tool is totally unlike any traditional media that you have used in the past. Do not be intimidated by the word “drawing” in glass because you do not have to be a great artist to quickly achieve beautiful, rich pieces of glass with this process. Using glass powder in this manner is much more forgiving and allows for a greater range of gesture and texture than the pen and paper. Our palette in this class will be black, white and clear. You will be guided through fun exercises to get your creative juices flowing. This class will be the start to your glass sketchbook, with at least four fired pieces and a wealth of knowledge to continue adding to your collection.
