This introduction to kiln forming guides students through the process of creating the most traditional fused glass form: the plate. Student will learn basic kiln forming theory, design and color applications. You will be provided with precut glass elements to assemble into your first plate. We will discuss kiln programming and put your pieces into the kiln be fired. Day two basic cutting techniques will be covered such as straight lines and curves. After that, you will be free to apply those techniques to your final plate. Your pieces will be ready to be picked up one week after the class.
