Prerequisite Platemaking I

This class will build on the techniques learned in Plate Making 1. You will practice your glass cutting techniques and learn how to cut perfect circles. Then you will go through a series of exercises to create painterly components, which you will include in your final pieces. Relief carving, also known as kiln carving will be introduced as a design element, which will effect the final shape and texture. After this class, you will have two more plates to add to your collection. Your pieces will be ready to be picked up one week after the class. Extra Bullseye glass will be available for sale.
