Easter Eggs Fused Glass (1 Day)

This Glass Easter Egg class will focus on creating flat oval egg shapes embellished with colorful assorted pieces of Bullseye glass to make some decorated eggs that can last a life time. Include suspension pieces so you can hang these little darlings around the house or spring garden or even arrange them to be slumped into a small Easter serving platter or candy dish!

Mother and Daughter Beads Class
Course Fee: $100

Class size limit:8
In this introductory class, both of you will learn how to make beautiful glass beads on a mandrel. You will use soft glass, Moretti, to build these colorful glass pieces. After a discussion of studio set-up and safety, demonstrations will introduce students to the use of heat and gravity to shape molten glass. Demonstrations will alternate with working time. No experience necessary. Return students welcome. All materials included. Enjoy this perfect mother daughter time!

Mother and Daughter Pendants Class
Course Fee: $150

This class will introduce you both to the basic principals behind forming glass in the kiln to create beautiful fused glass pendants. You will be introduced to all of the tools, basic glass cutting and kiln forming theory. You will learn different design and color skills to help inform your decisions on how to layer your glass before it is fired. We will introduce you to iridized and dicroic glass to create an electrifying design element in your pendants. When these one of a kind pieces come out of the kiln a Diablo staff member will attach a sterling silver bail by which to hang you pieces. No experience necessary. All materials included. Extra Bullseye glass available for sale. Enjoy this nice mother-daughter experience!!

Special attention will be given to protecting your piece from spotting due to the acids used in soldering.
